Bliss Nor-Am Steel Doors and Windows is a combination of two of North Americas most respected Steel Window Companies, Bliss Cashier Metal Products and Nor-Am Doors and Windows Ltd. Bliss Steel Products of Syracuse N.Y. was established in 1922. In 1982 the company became Bliss-Cashier Metal Products and produced Commercial steel windows at this location until 1996. Nor-Am Doors and Windows was incorporated in 1983 by the executives of two Canadian Steel Window manufacturing and installation companies having continuous experience in the industry since 1959. Nor-Am has established an enviable reputation for quality products, delivered on time as agreed with the client. Specializing in Heavy Intermediate Steel Doors and Windows, Nor-Am also produces Commercial Aluminum windows, Heavy Duty (hollow metal) doors and custom profile windows and miscellaneous metal products and railings in steel, aluminum and stainless steel. In 1996 a joint venture was formed between the two companies. The fabrication equipment of Bliss was moved to the manufacturing facility of Nor-Am in Toronto. This amalgamation of fabrication and engineering facilities provided greater flexibility in servicing the construction industry of North America. Bliss-Nor Am has enjoyed a controlled growth pattern in both sales and facilities since its establishment. Early in 2003 Nor-Am moved to larger more modern premises in Toronto. Bliss-Nor Am continues to provide a complete service to the industry, including design consultation, manufacture, finishing. Nor-am in addition provides installation and glazing to the Canadian market.
