Vapor Permeable Systems

StoGuard is a system of products, that combined, is a fluid-applied waterproof air barrier. It is applied directly to sheathing, joints, and rough openings, and is used in place of building wrap or housewrap underneath brick, wood, vinyl, cement siding, Portland cement stucco and EIFS. StoGuard substrate protection provides both moisture protection and energy savings

Sto offers three fluid applied barrier systems that are vapor permeable - StoGuard with Gold Coat and StoGuard with EmeraldCoat.

All systems provide superior protection against moisture intrusion and air leakage, saving energy and helping improve indoor air quality. In addition, the systems can be left uncovered for extended time during the construction process, simplifying scheduling and protecting exposed substrate from moisture, mold and mildew.

StoGuard with EmeraldCoat

• Pale Green Color
• Specifically designed for use behind claddings other than EIFS
• High Vapor Permeance (17 perms)
• Air Barrier

• Up to 2 months exposure time
• ICC Code recognized
• StoGuard with AirSeal

All the Sto Gold Coat and Sto EmeraldCoat products can be used with other claddings including metal panels, cement board, vinyl, wood, brick, stone, etc. This allows for StoGuard to be used on the entire building when more than one cladding is chosen for a project.
