In 1971, Kent Moore began subcontracting cabinets and trim work in the Bryan-College Station area while attending Texas A&M University. The business was intended as part-time employment until he graduated with a degree in Education, with expectations to be a biology teacher and coach. As Bryan-College station entered a rapid growth period, the part-time work quickly evolved into a flourishing business. As a 'site-built' cabinet company, Kent Moore and two employees moved equipment from job to job in the early years. Normally, Kent Moore Cabinets would be installed in two houses in a week's time
