Reeski was founded in Aspen, Colorado in 1991 by Jeff Theobald, an avid skier and entrepreneur who discovered a pile of skis in a dumpster one day and came up with the brilliant idea to recycle discarded skis and snowboards into functional and attractive furniture and home furnishings. In 1994, Reeski was granted a U.S. Patent for the design of the Adirondack Ski Chair and sales have been soaring ever since. What started off as one person's idea funded by two credit cards (and later a loan from the Small Business Association) has become the premier furniture company for original recycled ski and snowboard products
