Hardbright Concrete Stain and Sealer is a specially formulated 30% solids, pigmented acrylic, solvent base concrete sealer and curing agent. It has been specifically formulated for sealing and protecting plain and colored concrete, masonry, precast concrete and cementitious overlayment surfaces. Recommended for use over Stamped Concrete, DECOSUP Polymer Overlay, DECOSUP Knock Down system, and any other concrete or masonry surface where a uniform color is desired. It is resistant to oil, gasoline, grease, acid, deicing salts, ultra violet rays, wet and dry abrasion, and most household chemicals. Hardbright CS contains finely ground synthetic and natural, color fast iron-oxide pigments and unique resin and solvent formulations designed for maximum penetration into the concrete while creating an even, uniform, long lasting protective shield over the concrete surface.
Hardbright Concrete Stain is a ready to use product. It should not be diluted with xylene, toluene or any other solvent. Do not thin, apply as supplied.
Surface preparation:
All decorative concrete, masonry and cementitious overlayment surfaces must be completely dry and free of oil, grease, curing compounds and any other foreign material that may inhibit the penetration of the sealer into the surface applied to. Surfaces colored with Hardbright Color Hardener can be sealed as soon as concrete is set enough to walk on. If concrete has been stamped by using a release powder, we recommend to wait at least two days before washing and sealing.
When sealing plain concrete or masonry, surfaces should be degreased using a commercial degreaser, follow by acid etching with a one part muratic acid to six parts water sprinkled over the whole area, and then scrubbed with a push broom. Pressure wash after acid etching and allow to dry completely before sealing.
Application:
Hardbright pigmented sealer can be applied by paint roller (1/2" to 3/4" nap), or preferably an airless sprayer. Apply two thin coats rather than one thick one, mix the sealer before applying, since some color settlement may occur and allow to dry tack free between coats. One gallon covers approximately 200 Square feet.
Warranty: DECOSUP warrants this product to be free from manufacturing defect. Since no control is exerted over it's application and use, DECOSUP makes no warranty, either expressed or implied, concerning this product. Seller and manufacturer's obligation shall be limited to replacing that portion of the product proven to be defective.
