WISHSTONE retained by St.Louis Cardinals for decorative stone medallions on new stadium

Aug 11, 2004

Baseball fans in St. Louis are getting a new stadium and WISHSTONE will play a part in finishing off the bird's new roost. A recent meeting between the Cardinals' Design Committee & HOK Sports solidified WISHSTONE as their exclusive source for decorative, hand-carved stone medallions to adorn the new $400 million Cardinals ballpark in St. Louis.

WISHSTONE's artist & stone carver, Gabe Drueke, will hand-carve each of the 11 original designs into Indiana Limestone. Once the originals are complete, molds will be made and approximately 74 cast stone replicas will be used for accenting the exterior brick work of the stadium. Ground breaking ceremonies were held in January 2004 and the new ballpark is slated to open for the 2006 season. Visit www.stlcardinals.com to learn more.
