New Board and Batten Vertical Vinyl Siding from CertainTeed Corporation recreates the historic charm of centuries-old cedar siding. Designed to emulate the historic siding of early American structures, CertainTeed Board and Batten has a rough cedar finish that gives the appearance of saw-textured wood.

Board and Batten Vertical Vinyl Siding from CertainTeed Recreates Centuries-Old Style

At 8" wide, CertainTeed Board and Batten is at least an inch wider than most other vinyl panels and the 6-1/2"-wide flat-face board span is the industry’s widest. It features a straight, even face with a flat surface for a true cedar board appearance. The straight-edge design of the batten creates a finely crafted wood appearance.

The traditional-style vertical vinyl siding is ideal for whole house or accent applications. Available in two panel lengths, the 12' 6" panels are 2' 6" longer than most competitive panels, creating a smoother appearance, eliminating seams and transitions in walls up to that same length. For walls of traditional height, the extra panel length can be used under windows, on gables or in other areas requiring shorter lengths, thereby reducing waste, or the shorter 10' panel can be used.

Board and Batten siding is crafted using a CertainTeed-pioneered direct transfer system from real cedar boards for a natural woodgrain texture. The vertical siding is .048" thick for high strength and durability, available in 12 siding colors, and backed by a limited lifetime warranty with PermaColor™ lifetime fade protection.

“Building professionals are creating and selling homes that appeal to the country’s nostalgia for traditional-style homes while meeting their demand for modern maintenance amenities. Our Board and Batten vertical vinyl siding meets both needs. It provides the historical appeal of early American homes and barns, yet it is much easier to maintain than wood,” says Walt Hoyt, Director of Marketing Communications for CertainTeed’s Siding Products Group, whose CertainTeed, Wolverine & Ashland-Davis brands together comprise the industry leader in the vinyl siding and polymer shake industries
