Mitsubishi replaces refrigerant in ductless mini split HVAC systems

Mitsubishi Electric HVAC Advanced Products Division, has recently embarked on a multi-phase conversion plan to transition R410A refrigerant in DUCTLESS MINI SPLIT SYSTEMS in support of The Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer, an international agreement designed to protect the stratospheric ozone layer.

The addition of the R410A refrigerant to all new HVAC equipment is not only an important step towards improving the efficiency of our systems, (SEER ratings of 13 and higher are available with the new models) but also demonstrates a leadership role within the industry. Mitsubishi believes that it was important to make systems compatible with R410A well before the Protocol's 2010 deadline, providing our end-users with the best product available as soon as possible.
