News Restoration Millwork™ Exterior Trim Looks, Feels Like Top-Grade Lumber

(Valley Forge, Pennsylvania) – CertainTeed Corporation introduces its Restoration Millwork™ Exterior Trim line, a solid finish trim that looks and feels like top-grade lumber. Restoration Millwork includes trimboards, beadboard, full-size sheets, one-piece corners, brickmould and drip cap to offer unparalleled beauty, uniformity and long-lasting durability.
Made from solid cellular polyvinyl chloride (PVC), Restoration Millwork complements virtually all siding materials including vinyl, fiber cement, wood, stucco and brick. It comes ready to install in Natural White, so often there is no need to paint. It can, however, be custom finished according to CertainTeed’s installation guidelines to suit any application. The smooth surface on Restoration Millwork products creates less waste as the trim comes finished on all sides, and 18' and 20' lengths create seamless style.

“Restoration Millwork outperforms and outlasts wood in dozens of applications,” says Tom Smith, Vice President and General Manager for CertainTeed’s Siding Products Group. “It works like wood, but with better results. Contractors can route it, shape it, mill it or heat form it for curves or shapes.”
In addition, Smith notes that Restoration Millwork sheets cut and shape easily for custom trim requirements. “The sheets work great for large-size installations, such as dormers, and vertical uses, like board-on-board or board-on-batten side-wall applications.”
Restoration Millwork is available in a variety of widths and thicknesses with consistent dimensions for accurate fit and finish. It cuts, shapes, routes and mills with ordinary woodworking tools and fastens with nails or screws. The product will be available to contractors and the general public through lumberyards and specialist siding distributors.
