The International Exhibition of Marble Stone and Technology MARMOMACC, the world's most important trade show for the stone industry, offers this year for the first time, free admission to those trade visitors who pre-register online. Held annually at Veronafiere (in late September to early October), MARMOMACC is an international showcase of commercially-available materials and machinery attracting more than 1,400 exhibitors and over 62,000 trade visitors from 120 countries. It is an ideal place to directly source stone for commercial projects and to see the full spectrum of materials available for residential applications. Each year, the show also features a number of architectural exhibits and conferences devoted to designing with dimensional stone. Go online to www.marmomacc.com/freebadgeusa for your free four-day pass, which entitles you to one entry per day. By pre-registering visitors can save $45, avoid long lines at the show and be able to ride Verona's (TM) public transportation system at no charge during MARMOMACC. In addition, pre-registrants will receive, at the Fair, the Official Catalogue on CD. Register by August 10th to receive your badge by priority mail in mid-September. For more details follow the above link.
Veronafiere organizes a five-day long AIA Continuing Education course during MARMOMACC. The goal of the course is to encourage the use of natural stone in contemporary architecture. Veronafiere has been an AIA/CES provider since 1999. In the past six years, more than 90 architects from the U.S. were joined by 70 architects from around the world in attending the course.
