CONTEX G600 42” SCANNER FAMILY

The CHROMA G600 Color Scanner, CRYSTAL G600 Scanner, and NEW PREMIER G600 Monochrome scanner all feature the most advanced scanning technology available today. Contex patented technologies are found in the G600 42” family of scanners and include; Advanced 48-bit CCD Technology for 22,500 (PREMIER, monochrome only) and up to 90,000 (CHRMA and CRYSTAL, color and monochrome) pixel image capture, four times more pixels than most other 42 inch scanners on the market today. Additional features include, Accuracy Lens Enhancement (ALE) for precise and stable scan accuracy of 0.1%+- 1 pixel—an industry benchmark, All-Wheel drive for smoothly handling of large originals and Automatic Thickness Adjustment (ATAC) that allows scanning of up to 15mm/.6” media thickness. All scanners include flexible connectivity with FireWire, USB 2.0, STI (Still Image Interface), WIA (Windows Image Acquisition) TWAIN interfaces for ease of installation and use.

Scanning speeds have been improved on all three scanner models to 12 inches per second (ips) in monochrome. For either the Base or Plus versions of the color scanners, the color scanning speeds have been increased up to 3/ips in the Plus versions. The PREMIER has a monochrome speed of 6/ips (Base) and 12ips (Plus).

“The introduction of the G600 series is one of the most exciting announcements in the history of the company as it is a direct answer to the markets demands for high quality, increased productivity and increased Return on Investment, and with the environmental enhancements to meet RoHS and Energy Star compliances, continues to place Contex at the head of the industry for benchmark scanner technology and equipment solutions.” says Steen Borg, CEO for Contex AS.

Environmentally Friendly Scanners
The 42” G600 scanners are all Energy Star® and RoHS compliant, two key features on all new Contex scanners. There are no toxic substances in a Contex Scanner which complies with expanding global environmental policies, currently in Europe and many parts of the world today, that affect that world that we work and live in. And in an effort to help conserve natural resources and reduce expenses, Contex joins the Energy Star® community of approved products, a benefit to all Contex customers and their communities.

Scanning Superiority and Image Enhancement
The CHROMA and CRYSTAL color scanners capture color at 48 bit color data capture and 16-bit gray tones for maximum image precision. The PREMIER captures B/W and graytone data in 16-bit data for the most precise and detailed images. Using an All-Digital camera with advanced point-of-origin image capture and on-board digital conversion ensures minimum noise and an extended dynamic range. The scanners contain advanced technology for color and/or monochrome enhancement providing vivid and clean results from even poor quality originals. All processing is embedded in the hardware enabling the user to perform powerful image enhancement without the typical slow processing speeds of a PC when post-scan processing.

Features include:

  • Affordable, Productive and High Quality Scanning
  • RoHS and Energy Star Approved NEW!
  • Handles thick media up to 15mm or 0.6” thick with ATAC
  • 48-bit color and/or 16 graytone capture for perfect reproduction NEW!
