For the London Academy in Edgware, architects Foster and Partners required a fully glazed partitioning system that would combine striking aesthetics with excellent fire and sound resistance, together with the requisite strength and stability needed within a school. Able to satisfy not only these requirements but meet other contract specific technical details, Avanti Systems was selected to supply the awardwinning Solare frameless glazed partitioning system.

This was installed by specialist contractors, Stortford Interiors. The high performance provided by the Solare system allowes it to be installed in areas where safety is of high importance. In an metal working area where forges and crucibles are in use and ‘hot metal’ is worked, double glazed Solare combines visibility with a fire rating of 60 minutes integrity and 30 minutes insulation.
