East Teak Fine Hardwoods Introduces Rare Collection of Reclaimed Rosewood Columns.

Traditionally prized for fine woodworking and top quality musical instruments worldwide, rosewood is a highly grained wood best known for its incredible strength and durability, as well as its rich dark or red hue. For the ecologically conscious hardwood lover, East Teak Fine Hardwoods, Inc., the industry leader in First European Quality teak and other fine hardwood products, announces its distinctive and limited line of Forest Steward Council-certified, 100 percent post-consumer recycled Indian rosewood columns.

East Teak now offers these one-of-a-kind reclaimed Indian rosewood columns to provide architects, builders and designers with more eco-friendly or green solutions. Each individual column has its own distinctive character and distinguishing markings and/or carvings on them. Ranging from five to eight feet tall, these columns are all recovered by hand, individually pulled and salvaged from existing structures, thereby avoiding the need to fell living trees. Each column brings the unique characteristics of decades of aging, which results in a very distinctive and durable product.

Our limited-supply of Indian rosewood columns is a perfect architectural element for any project, residential or commercial," says Wayne Rogers, President of East Teak. "Each individual column has a story to tell.

The FSC 100 percent recycled label guarantees that all timber is harvested purely from post-consumer sources, to ensure the highest possible legal and environmental standards.
