Landscape Forms adds the key bike rack to product line

Landscape Forms, a designer, manufacturer and marketer of award-winning commercial outdoor furniture and accessories, and recently named by the Wall Street Journal as one of the Top 15 Small Workplaces in the United States, announces the addition of the Key Bike Rack, a new product from the popular studio work of Barcelona’s Santa & Cole.

The company’s urban elements are new to North America but the design vocabulary, with its own vernacular, clearly endorses the Landscape Forms philosophy. Minimal and elegant in their simplicity, these products introduce an international spirit to the Landscape Forms collection of outdoor furniture for public spaces.

This cheerful rack, Key, is reminiscent of handles of old fashioned keys. Built with a steel core that is protected with high density polyurethane plastic molded over steel tubing, Keyis offered in Redor Grey polyurethane.Landscape Forms Panguard II® Powdercoat finish contains no heavy metals, is HAPS-free and has extremely low VOCs. Key secures a bike by its frame in two places, the frame and a wheel, and accommodates a standard D-shaped bike lock. Key’s base cover is cast aluminum. The base is fitted with two bolts that slip into adhesive-filled holes drilled into concrete and ships fully assembled.

Key Bike Rack was designed by Lagranja of Barcelona. One of the most recognized multi-disciplinary studios in Europe, Lagranja endeavors to place the emphasis on people in its efforts to design objects and spaces. Key has earned its distinction as it was awarded the RED DOT AWARD Best of the BEST 2008 by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Essen, Germany and the IDEA Bronze in 2007 awarded by The Industrial Designers Society of America.
