The Hy-Ex System is a reflection of today's move towards commercial-type cooking equipment for the home. Created specifically for the high exhaust demands of these hotter, larger cooking surfaces Hy-Ex is the super been developed for all our range hood designs. Choose in-hood filterless exhausters, or opt for the split system using in-hood commercial baffle filters with remote ventilator. Both are standard options for all our range hood designs in 600, 940, 1200 and 1400 CFM capacities as standard.

Built-in Interior Ventilation

Much as a washing machine wrings the water from clothing in the spin cycle, squirrel cage fans, driven at over 1500 RPM, liquefy vaporized cooking grease by centrifugal action. Grease is held in a removable, dishwasher-safe collector. Standard ventilating capacity, 600-1200 CFM (cubic feet per minute), can be increased with the addition of each 300 CFM motor.

Split System Remote Ventilation

Barrel Form Hood over 105,000 BTU restaurant-style cooktop 

Put the motor outside the hood with our remotely ventilated system. Commercial baffle filters hush air flow noise, while their interlocking walls create a positive fire barrier - flames cannot navigate directional changes at high velocity. Halogen or incandescent lights provide bright, crisp illumination. 940 and 1400 CFM ventilators are standard, with options to 2400.
