FLOOR ACCESS DOORS

DESCRIPTION
The Acudor FT series aluminum floor access doors are designed for interior and exterior applications that require an access opening that will blend in with the surrounding floor material.

The FT-8040 is recessed 1/8" to accommodate carpeting and vinyl tile. The FT-8050 is recessed 1" to accommodate ceramic tile, terrazzo and concrete.

SPECIFICATIONS

Material:	Aluminum door and frame; stainless steel hardware.
Door:	1/4" smooth aluminum plate reinforced for live load of 150 pounds/sq. ft. Extruded edging is welded to door panel, providing a 1/8" recess (FT-8040)/1" recess (FT-8050).
Frame:	FT-8040: Angle frame fabricated from aluminum extrusion with integral 1" anchor flange on three sides and welded anchor strips on the hinge side. FT-8050: Channel frame fabricated from aluminum extrusion with 1-1/2" drainage coupling and integral 1" anchor flange.
Hinge:	FT-8040: Extruded aluminum hinges are welded to inside of door panel and pivot on stainless steel pins. FT-8050: Stainless steel continuous piano hinge.
Opening Device:	Automatic hold open arm with red vinyl grip allows door panel to open to 90 degrees, locking door in open position, and allowing for easy control when closing door panel. Stainless steel torsion bars (FT-8040)/ compression springs (FT-8050) add lift assistance.
Latch:	Stainless steel slamlock with a fixed inside handle, removable outside handle, and removable threaded plug.
Finish:	Mill finish with optional bituminous coating or exterior of frame.

DESCRIPTION
The Acudor MS-8060 aluminum floor access door is designed for interior applications where watertightness is not required. The flush diamond plate door panel stays secured to the frame with flat head screws and is completely removable.

The Acudor FT-8080 floor access door is designed for interior and exterior applications that require an access opening that will blend in with the surrounding floor material. To keep the floor material from cracking or chipping within the door panel, the securing screws are located in the flange of the mounting frame.

Door:	FD-8060: 1/4" aluminum diamond plate reinforced for live load of 150 pounds/sq. ft. FT-8080: 1/4" smooth aluminum diamond plate reinforced for live load of 150 pounds/sq. ft,. recessed 1/8" for carpet/vinyl tile or 1" for ceramic tile/concrete.
Frame:	FD-8060: 1" x 1" aluminum angle designed to be cast into concrete. FT-8080: 1-1/2" x 1-1/4" aluminum angle with mounting holes in top flange.
Latch:	Door Panel is secured to frame with 1/4" x 1" flat head screws.
Finish:	Mill finish.
