FUNCTION:
Adams Rite Magnetic Locks provide remote access and
exit control of internal and external aluminum, wood and hollow metal doors. With a
built-in suppression system to prevent noise and spikes they can be integrated into most
access control systems whether using card readers, key pads, key switches or a simple
pushbutton. The 1200 series lock provides 1200 pounds of holding force, the 600 series
holds 600 pounds . There are no moving parts. Operation is fail-safe at all times but may
be equipped with a battery backup power supply (by others). Magnets are available for both
in swinging and outswinging doors with a variety of options. The magnets have a one piece
housing cover and spacious wiring chambers at both ends for easy access to wiring. The
magnet also has a shallow 2" projection for greater header room and cleaner
appearance.
OPTIONS:
DOOR POSITION SWITCH: An SPDT polarity
oriented magnetic reed switch attached to one end of magnet and concealed behind housing
cover. Switch senses open and closed positions of the door. Requires special armature.
L.E.D. INDICATOR LIGHTS: A red or green
indicator light in end plate of magnetic lock. Provides visual indication of lock status.
MAGNETIC BOND SENSOR: Two magnetic reed
switches implanted within body of magnet monitor and verify the complete and proper
bonding between magnet and armature. Detects improper alignment or contact caused by dirt,
significant voltage drop or tampering. |
