SUGGESTED SPECIFICATIONS

Vertical Top Rod Only Exit Devices, both Surface and Concealed, shall be as manufactured by Adams Rite. Top latch and strike shall interlock door to frame with Adams Rite's patented interlocking latch mechanism. Exit device shall be made of extruded aluminum pushbar and back bar. Finishes shall be anodized aluminum or clad in architectural finishes. Pushbar travel shall be one inch towards door surface. All bar mounting fasteners shall be hidden. Top rod for Surface Vertical Rod devices shall be protected by a cover in a finish to match the exit device pushbar. The top latch shall have a protective cover in a finish to match the exit device pushbar.

The 8000 Series exit devices shall be U.L. listed for Life-Safety. The 3000 series exit devices shall be U.L. fire-rated for three hours for openings of 8'0" x 8'0" and Warnock Hersey listed for openings of up to 8'0" x 10'0".

All exit devices shall meet ANSI/BHMA requirements for Grade I.
