SUGGESTED SPECIFICATION

Concealed Vertical Top Rod Exit Devices with exposed latch shall be as manufactured by Adams Rite. Top latch and strike shall interlock door to frame with Adams Rite's patented interlocking latch mechanism. Exit device shall be made of extruded aluminum pushbar and back bar. Finishes shall be anodized aluminum or clad in architectural finishes.  Pushbar travel shall be one inch towards door surface. All bar mounting fasteners shall be hidden. All end cap mounting screws shall be hidden. The top latch shall have a protective cover in a finish to match the exit device pushbar.

The 8000 Series exit devices shall be Warnock Hersey listed for Life-Safety. The 3000 series exit device shall be rated for either 20, 45, 60 or 90 minutes for openings of up to 8'0" x 8'0".

All exit devices shall meet ANSI/BHMA requirements for Grade I.
