FIREBARRIER products are listed by Underwriters Laboratories of Canada, Factory
Mutual Research and Warnock Hersey and are certified under rigorous factory inspection
programs. A/D FIREBARRIER Mineral Wool was the first ULC listed and certified firestopping material. It is a preformed, semi rigid, non-combustible mineral fibre felt which is factory pre-cut to facilitate immediate installation. It is friction fitted into openings and may be secured with specially designed impaling clips. A/D FIREBARRIER Mortar is a fibre reinforced foamed cement that is ideal for filling large firestop openings. The powder mixes easily with water to form a nonslumping shaving cream like paste that is easily placed and finished. It is noncombustible and approved for large multiple penetration firestops. A/D FIREBARRIER Seal and Silicone Sealant are non-hardening and remain flexible with time. Penetration firestops utilizing these systems can easily be altered after-the-fact to accommodate removal or addition of new penetrating items. These systems are noise dampening, tolerate building vibration and movement and are resistant to the passage of water, smoke, gasses, air, dust and other contaminants. A/D FIREBARRIER Seal is an economical one-part ready-do-use water based sealant that can be poured or sprayed over mineral wool for penetration and joint firestops. Seal NS (non-sag) may be trowelled for vertical applications. A/D FIREBARRIER Silicone Sealant is a high quality, one-part ready-to-use sealant available in both caulking and self-levelling (SL) grades. It is long lasting and remains permanently flexible. It is easily installed by-caulking gun or trowel or may be poured. |
