| Feature
not found in "upgraded" commercial troffers... A- Foolproof ceiling compatibility
The standard ST
series fits in grid ceiling with up to 1½" Tee's. More common in surgery suites,
these structural Tee's prevent doors frames in standard troffers, from opening. ST
luminaires also can be field converted from grid to flange or flange to grid. Costly
problems and project delays associated with the most common ordering errors are thus
eliminated.

B- Control of Conducted EMI
Electromagnetic interference can be conducted back through power
lines and cause interference with sensitive medical equipment. When a separate protected
circuit is not provided, a filter in the luminaire itself is required. ST fixtures use a
custom designed filter for each lamp circuit to ensure compliance with the strict 461
C&D military standard for conducted EMI. Up to 3 suppressors can be accommodated in
the STs unique, dual wireway design.

| C- 30 Year Door
Lens/Design
ST fixtures are built to last the 30+ year
expected life cycle of the surgical suite. A one-piece heavy gauge steel door frame,
powder coated after fabrication, is standard on all ST fixtures (frames may also be
specified in brushed stainless steel). Alkcos proprietary inverted "V"
profile lens aids light distribution and eliminates sagging. These features, in
combination with heavy-duty cam latching and hinging ensure that ST fixtures stand up to
repeated cleaning/relamping cycles. In fact, Alkco warranties the frame/lens assembly for
the life of the installation.
