A.L.P. WORLD CLASS EXCELLENCE IN LIGHTING COMPONENTS

Our manufacturing plant in Pennsauken, New Jersey, is the most sophisticated facility of its kind, featuring the latest in plastic manufacturing technology. We have mastered the art of molding, vacuum metalizing and fabricating plastic louvers and parabolic lighting panels. "Technology 2000" is exemplified in our Extrusion Equipment. It is the most advanced manufacturing equipment in North America.

Our metals manufacturing facility is located in Atlanta, Georgia. Here too, leading edge technology is evident in our manufacturing process. It shows in every quality lighting panel manufactured. We also have "one-of-a-kind" equipment in Atlanta. Our Multi-Radii forming unit is unique in North America. It can produce smooth multi-radii bends in aluminum reflectors and louvers. It eliminates the need for hard tooling in small custom runs or samples. It's a commitment to quality products, backed by an outstanding service team.

PLASTIC FABRICATION

A.L.P. Lighting & Ceiling Products, Inc., takes extreme pride in our fabricating capabilities. We assure the absolute in quality fabricating technique. Many are innovations of A.L.P. It's why we can guarantee a perfect fit of our fabricated lighting panels for all fluorescent fixtures or lighted ceilings. Our fabricating department does cutting, gluing, sonic welding, Avoida-Notching (see page 9) and trimming. All panels are destaticized and individually placed in protective plastic sleeves. Each piece is inspected and guaranteed.

SPECIFICATION FINISHES FOR PLASTIC PARABOLIC LOUVERS

SPECULAR FINISHES (Standard)

All parabolic surfaces shall be prepared with a primary undercoat. A coating of high purity (99.99% pure) aluminum shall be applied by means of vacuum vapor disposition in a thickness range of 800 to 1000 angstroms. Total reflectivity shall not less than 92% for specular silver louver. (Specular gold reflectivity will be slightly reduced).

SEMI-SPECULAR SILVER (Optional)

All parabolic surfaces shall be prepared with a primary undercoat. A coating of high purity (99.99% pure) aluminum shall be applied by means of vacuum vapor disposition in a thickness range of 800 to1000 angstroms. A specially formulated translucent coating is applied to the specular finish which reduces the high gloss level. This results in omni directional diffused light giving a warm halo effect around the louver and beyond the cut-off angle. The semi-specular finish reduces the contrast ratio between the ceiling and the low brightness louver.

DURABOLIC FINISH (Optional)

A top surface coating used in plastic metalized louvers, when the metallic appearance must be maintained in a hostile environment. It is a durable finish that protects the specular silver metalized louver surface from handling and marring. The Durabolic finish withstands fingerprints, smudges, scratches, dirt and temperature changes. It is easily cleaned with a soft cloth or mild detergent.
