INTERIOR & EXTERIOR FINISHES
All conventional interior and exterior finishes are easily applied to Polysteel walls.

Interior Finishes
Drywall, plaster lath and/or paneling can be attached quickly and easily with self-tapping screws.

Exterior Finishes
Stucco lath can be screwed directly into the steel furring strips providing the secure underlayment required. Synthetic stucco systems can be applied directly to the Polysteel walls.
Wood, vinyl, or aluminum siding attach directly to the furring strips.
Brick, stone, or masonry are secured to the wall with conventional ties.

SUPERIOR PRODUCT PERFORMANCE

Reduced Air Infiltration - Polysteel homes and buildings consistently average .1 Air Exchanges per hour (ACH). This means that the air is completely replaced every 10 hours. This is compared to .4 ACH for wood-framed structures (an exchange every 2.5 hours). The result is much less dust and pollen, and less heat loss.

Superior Insulation - The Polystyrene insulation in Polysteel has an R-Value of 20. combined with the thermal mass benefits of the concrete, and the significant reduction in air infiltration (which accounts for 20% to 40% of the head load), Polysteel homes and buildings actually perform at values from R-30 to R-50.

Superior Sound Barrier - With only 1/2" drywall, Polysteel walls have a laboratory tested Sound Class Rating of 48. From party walls inside, to barrier walls from traffic on the outside, Polysteel keeps the noise out and away from where you live and work.

Superior Fire Resistance - Polysteel is rated for a two-hour fire wall (ASTM-E119) with 5/8" drywall attached on each side. Polysteel's extremely low toxicity, smoke development, and flame spread, make our walls safer form the hazards of fire. The airtightness of Polysteel structures also inhibit the oxygen needed to allow a fire to spread rapidly.

Environmentally Responsible - No CFC's are used during the manufacture of Polysteel. Building with Polysteel significantly reduces the lumber used in construction.  Living and working in Polysteel buildings uses less energy. Working in partnership with concrete, one of earth's most abundant materials, Polysteel Forms are Environmentally Superior in every way.
