Custom Architectural Directories
Andco offers a wide variety of both illuminated and
non-illuminated directories to fit most any need. Directories can be wall mounted, podium
style, pylon style, or mounted between posts. All directories are manufactured using
extruded aluminum components for durability and quality. Some directories are suitable for
exterior use and all are available with many different message center options. The
directory doors utilize a cam lock and key device for vandal resistance. The directories

Directory Panel Options
Type 14 - Extruded Lean Strip
Illuminated/Non-Illuminated Message strips
Strips are 5/8" high interlocking extruded lexan strips with engraved (illuminated)
or vinyl (non-illuminated) copy. The background color can be painted any color.
Illuminated copy color is white.
Type 2 - Changeable Letter Display
Non-Illuminated
Directories are manufactured using a composite board, slotted and covered with a
vinyl substrate. Letterboards are available in both brown and back. Changeable letters are
available in white in the following styles and sizes in quantities of 100:
Helvetica Medium: 5/16", 1/2", 3/4", 1"
Gothic: 3/8", 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1 1/2", 2"
Roman: 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1 1/2", 2",
3"
Type 3 - Cork
Non-Illuminated
Graphics are subsurface or surface printed on either pigmented or clear acrylic,
1/8" thick and backed by a sheet of white fiberglass. Printed graphics are available
for both illuminated and non-illuminated directories either by internal or surface
fluorescent lighting.

Type 5 - Laminated Film Negative
Illuminated/Non-Illuminated Message strips
Graphics are reproduced by photographic film negative with colors applied to second
surface. Film negative is layered between two panels. The first panel is a sheet of clear
acrylic, the second is a sheet of white fiberglass.
Header Panel Options
Type A - Projected Letter
Non-Illuminated Header
The Type A Header panel is constructed from 1/8" thick acrylic with applied 1/8"
thick precision cut acrylic letters.
Type B - Subsurface Screen Printed
Illuminated/Non-Illuminated Header
The Type B Header panel is the Andco standard and is available for both illuminated and
non-illuminated directories. This type of header is reverse screen printed on the back
side of 1/16" clear matte acrylic and backed with a sheet of white fiberglass.
