Andco Standard Finishes
Type A-10 Matthews Acrylic Polyurethane Letters, Plaques & Signs
The A-10 Matthews Acrylic Polyurethane finish consists of a pigmented component plus a catalyst. It is available in an unlimited selection of standard and custom computer-matched colors, in finishes from matte to high gloss. The hard, slick surface of Matthews Acrylic Polyurethane makes it impact resistant and able to withstand exposure to most solvents and chemicals as well as heavy traffic or abuse. Most graffiti can be removed with a suitable solvent.
Type B Bright Satin Anodized Letters & Signs

Type C Natural Satin Letters & Signs
Metal surface is mechanically sanded (grained ) to an even texture and coated with 2 coats of colorless chemicals for added protection against oxidation.
Type D Mirror Polish Letters
Metal surface is mechanically process sanded and then polished to a mirror finish and top coated with 2 layers of colorless chemicals to add protection against oxidation. Letter returns will receive a sandblasted texture.
Type E Satin Bronze Cast Bronze Letters & Plaques
Cast bronze is mechanically sanded, filed and chemically etched to a beautiful satin finish. The grained metal is topcoat with 2 layers of colorless chemicals to retard against oxidation.
Type F Oxidized Bronze Cast Bronze Letters & Plaques
Metal is mechanically sanded, filed and chemically etched prior to being oxidized to a dark statuary color and hand finishing. Two coats of clear chemicals are applied to retard oxidation.
Type G Matthews déSignar Letters, Plaques & Signs
Matthews déSignar is a polyvinylidene fluoride resin-based system ideal for use on letters, plaques or signs. This finish offers amazing gloss and color retention in even the most severe exterior applications, making it the most durable finish available for signs. Andco will guarantee the Matthews déSignar finish against peeling, cracking, crazing and blistering for fifteen years.
Type H Anodic Letters, Plaques & Signs
Duranodic colors are patented finishes applied to metal surfaces that have been mechanically sanded, filed and etched to a fine grained texture. The patented anodic oxide coatings retard corrosion and are available in light, medium dark and black. Metal finish is preserved by 2 coats of colorless chemicals for additional protection. Although anodic finishes build up an extremely hard oxidized surface that is highly resistant to weathering and abrasion, variation in the color will exist due to uncontrollable alloy characteristics of the metal.
Andco Industries does not guarantee the Type H Anodic Finish
