PME 1000 Series
Photo Etched Plaque with Raised Copy / Braille

The Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 has placed tight restrictions on the composition of interior signs. For example, all signs that identify permanent rooms must have minimum 1/32" raised copy at least 5/8" high and grade 2 braille. Because of this and other restrictions, ADA has caused a great deal of concern among everyone involved.

The PME 1000 Series plaque is manufactured by a photo mechanical etching process, leaving the copy and braille raised. The plaque is then laminated to an opaque acrylic base, cut to size, and finished with a professional coat of acrylic polyurethane enamel in a specified color. All Andco PME 1000 Series plaques can receive any of Andco' s available die cast or injection molded sign frames. PME 1000 series plaques are manufactured to meet both DA and ANSI codes.

If you would like more information on Andco's ADA approved signage systems, call us toll free today and we well gladly advise you on the kind of signage that best suits your needs.
