THERMAL DOORS
Atlas Door Thermal Coiling Doors are designed to provide
maximum energy efficiency. Each slat is equivalent in size to conventional coiling door
slats, and features foam-injected polyurethane completely enclosed between two layers of
galvanized steel. The slat design minimizes "metal to metal" contact. This
allows an unimpeded flow of insulation into these hard-to-reach places while the
metal-foam metal bond combination creates an exceptionally strong door.
In addition, Atlas Door Thermal Doors incorporate other
energy-saving features, such as weather stripping and a hood baffle along the entire
length of the hood. Guides are weather stripped and an astragal seals the bottom bar at
the floor, providing a weather-resistant system.
Atlas Door Thermal Doors have been tested in accordance
with ASTM E90-97 under classification E413-87 (rev. 94), and have achieved a Sound
Transmission Class (STC) of 25.
