ELECTRONIC WIRELESS INTERLOCK
 The
patented Interlock, totally contained within the Atlas Door motor operator, eliminates the
need for any additional microswitches or field wiring. It can immediately sense if the
locking device is engaged and discontinues the motor operator before any damage can occur
to the curtain, locks, or the motor itself. The interlock drives the door in the reverse
direction to release tension, to allow easy unlocking and normal operation.
WARNING LIGHTS, HORNS, AND VOICE
ALARM SIGNALS
 The
controlled descent of a fire door in a fire alarm mode can be a safety benefit in itself,
but when combined with actual voice-enunciated messages, strobe lights, horns and the
alarm signals, the Fire Scout unit becomes a LIFESAFETY system that minimizes the
potential for personal injury and death.
Customized door signals available. Voice-enunciated
messages are available in multiple languages.
SMOKE DETECTORS
 Ionization
type smoke detectors respond to smoke particles that interrupt the flow of ionized air
molecules moving between two electrodes within the detector. This technique is most
effective where fast burning materials are present or a fast response in important.
Photoelectric type smoke
detectors use a light-emitting diode to project a light beam which is
reflected by smoke as it enters the detector. The smoke is detected when
light sensors receive the reflected light (scatter type) or when they
sense a reduced transmission of the light beam (obstruction type). They
are most effective where slow burning, smoldering fires are present.
PANIC RELEASE DEVICE
 The ''ADA
Panic Release Device'' is engineered to allow emergency egress control on Atlas Door
motor-operated coiling products.
The Panic Release Device is equipped with a pull handle on
the outside of the box, making it easily accessible to handicapped individuals.
VISCOUS SPEED GOVERNOR
 Coiling
Fire Doors and Labeled Shutters are designed to close and prevent the spread of fire. They
close automatically, triggered by the melting of a fuse link or by a smoke detector
system.
The Viscous Speed Governor is a self-adjusting
governor providing a rate of descent within the NFPA # 80 specification.
BACK-UP POWER SUPPLY
 When
wired into your existing system, the Back-up Power Supply continuously
monitors the AC line. The Back-Up Power Supply offers a variety of operating
modes to delay, open, close, or provide standby power. Compatible with
most 1/3 and 1/2 HP, 110V and single-phase motor driven operators.
SENSOR EDGE BOTTOM BAR
 This
option is recommended for motor-operated coiling products. It is mounted on the bottom bar
of the door, shutter or grille. This Sensor Edge will stop or stop and reverse the product
in the event an obstruction is struck while it is closing. The Sensor Edge also acts as a
weathering device, and is available in two distinctive models (shown below). All field
wiring is to be performed by others.

This model uses an air tube inside our astragal
with an air switch mounted on the wall. Upon contact with an obstruction,
the minimal change in the air chamber pressure causes a signal from the
air switch to the motor operator. This signal will either stop the downward
travel, or stop and reverse to the full open position.
Electric Sensor Edge
Uses two conductors inside a one-piece vinyl-coated nylon
moisture barrier. It is mounted to the bottom bar and connected to the motor operator.
Upon touch-activation with an obstruction, a signal to the motor operator will either stop
the downward travel or stop and reverse to the full open position.
Optional Fail Safe Electric Sensor Edge has the capability
to sense a loss of continuity in the circuit, such as damage to the edge. This will cause
the door to open and prevent the door from closing without manual intervention.
SAFETY STOP LOCK BEARING
 This
device protects life and property by preventing a coiling door or grille from falling
completely to the floor if there is damage to the drive chain, motor operator, or spring
counterbalance. The bearing stops the downward travel upon sensing a sudden, rapid
acceleration of the pipe shaft. This product is recommended whenever frequent usage is
anticipated or larger doors are specified.
