SPECIFICATIONS

1.01 Section Includes

A. Type: The motor operator will be Atlas Door model SMO-25 as manufactured by Clopay Building Products.

B. Mounting: To be vertical front of hood.

1.02 Related Work

A. Electrical wires, wiring, disconnect switches , and conduit are in the scope of work of other sections or trades.

2.01 Operator

A. Motor: Provide high torque, continuous duty motor of fractional HP.

B. Reduction : To be spur gear, permanently lubricated with additional reduction by chain and sprockets.

C. Drive: Product shaft to be driven by roller chain to provide travel of 6" (153.4mm) to 12"(304mm) per second.

D. Electrical Enclosure: All electrical components shall be in a NEMA 1 enclosure and pre-wired to terminal block.

E. Reversing Controls: Heavy -duty across -the-line reversing controls. Standard Atlas Door DOC-6000 control system.

F. Limit Switches: To be positive chain drive screw-type limit switch, enclosed in electrical control box,easily accessible for precision setting. Limit  switches will remain in time when emergency operation is used to operate manually.

G. Control Circuit: Shall be reduced to 24 volts for safety .Wired standard for safety edge to reverse,B1 or one button control and electric interlocks.

H. Overload Protection: To be thermal type with automatic reset.

I. Emergency Operation: To be by pulling down on the brake release lever located on the front of the unit .Product is then raised manually,

J. Control Station: To be (1) NEMA 1 three button station with open,Close and stop functions. Momentary contact to open and stop, constant pressure to close.

K. Assembly: To Be UL-listed.

3.0 Installation : To be by an authorized and in accordance with Atlas Door representative and in accordance with Atlas Door's standards and instructions.
