APPLICATIONS

Install Soundolier^® Models AS60A or AS62A in commercial or residential applications where quality music reproduction, attractive appearance, and value-pricing are prime considerations. The compact size of these 6" units make them the perfect choice for areas with limited space. Choose 10-watt Model AS60A as an economical solution to background music in small or secondary listening areas. Model AS62A, a 20-watt unit, is ideal for small to medium areas such as meeting rooms, individual offices, home offices, dens, and secondary listening areas. Both models offer a thin-profile to compliment any decor, and are suitable for new or retrofit installations in 8 ohm or 70V distributed music applications (order transformers separately).

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Standard Series 6" in-wall loudspeakers are an attractive and reliable family of speakers that offer proven performance and outstanding value. Model AS60A features a two-way, 10-watt RMS loudspeaker with a 6½'' (165mm) polypropylene woofer with a cloth surround and a 2" (51mm) cone tweeter to provide frequency response range of 60 Hz-15 kHz and a sensitivity of 85 dB. Model AS62A is a two-way, 20-watt RMS unit with a 6½'' polypropylene woofer with velbex surround, and a two-position adjustable 1" soft dome tweeter. Unit produces a frequency response of 60 Hz-20 kHz with a sensitivity of 86 dB at 1 watt / 1 meter. Units project .185" from the wall and can be painted or decorated for decor flexibility. Models feature fast and convenient three-part assembly with the loudspeaker component being. installed last to avoid damage caused by paint, dust, or vandalism. Units are equipped with transformer mounting posts for easy wiring of transformers in distributed music applications. Use new construction trim ring Model TR-6 to facilitate mounting prior to dry- wall installation.

TR-6. Install these time-saving brackets during pre-wiring to provide a pattern cutout for the drywall contractor. They help identify prewire location to expedite speaker installation and finishing. Bracketsspan 16" or 24" stud spacing and accommodate ¾" to 1 ¼" drywall.
