APPLICATIONS

The compact THP-3 in-wall subwoofer is a 50-watt unit for wall or ceiling installations. Utilize this model in upscale buildings and retail facilities to provide extended low-bass response in areas with limited listening space. Install them in medical, executive, and other professional venues including offices and lobbies. Attractively designed, it takes up no valuable floor or shelf space. The white finish may be painted or decorated. The high-density perforated grille and black subplate help to create a smooth and consistent look. The three-piece construction installs quickly in new or retrofit applications.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Extend low-bass performance from built-in speaker systems with subwoofer Model THP-3. This 50-watt unit includes an 8" (203mm) woofer with butyl rubber surround, 30 oz. magnet and a dual 1½" (38mm) voice coil. It also includes a built-in inverted stabilizer to offer excellent piston action and low distortion. The convenient 3-piece assembly allows the loudspeaker to be installed last avoiding potential construction damage.

The in-wall subwoofer may be used in conjunction with the optional TR-BX8 in-wall enclosure to acoustically isolate and reduce bass frequency bleed through. Model TR-BX8 mounts between studs spaced on 16" centers to protect the subwoofer and extend low-frequency performance. The THP-3 is powered by the THP-CXB subwoofer amplifier electronic crossover (order separately). Refer to sales sheet SL1-1596 for more information on the THP-CXB.
