APPLICATIONS

Install X Series baffle/enclosures wherever contemporary styling for mounting loudspeakers is desired. These surface-mount and suspended-application models have a clean overall appearance and complement most architectural layouts and building interiors. All units are suitable for use in hotels,office buildings, conference centers, reception areas, restaurants, airports, or other locations where design integrity is a primary concern.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

All X Series baffles are equipped with welded studs for mounting standard 4" (102mm) loudspeakers. Cylindrical Models X44, X45, X46, and X47 have one- piece spun .081 aluminum housings. Cubical Model X48 has a 20 ga. CRS housing. Recessed grille on all models is of 22 ga. CRS and finished in matte black enamel. Housing interior is coated with sound deadening material and lined with jute to prevent mechanical and acoustical resonance. Suffix model number with color designation: (A) Satin Aluminum or (W) Satin White. (Housing rear remains matte black on Models X44, X46, and X47; see photos.)

Model X44. Cylindrical baffle may be suspended from or surface mounted to the ceiling. Atlas/Soundolier 435 Series swivel hangers may be ordered in increments of 1 foot. (See sales literature sheet #SL3-1432.)

Model X45. Unit includes a cylindrical housing attached to a canopy for bi-directional surface-mount applications. Canopy is finished in matte black.

Models X46/X47. These baffles are wall-mount versions of Model X44 above. Model X46 includes a square cast aluminum mounting base which is finished in matte black. Model X47 has a round base with swivel mount.

Model X48. Cubical baffle may be wall or ceiling mounted for bi-directional sound dispersion. Mounting canopy is finished in matte black.

ARCHITECTS AND ENGINEERS' SPECIFICATIONSBaffle shall be Attas/Soundolier Model It shall be (surface mounted or suspended using Atlas/Soundolier 435 Series hanger Model Housing of Models X44, X45, X46, and X47 shall be one-piece spun .081 aluminum; housing of X48 shall be 20 ga. CRS. Housing interior shall be coated with sound deadening material and lined with jute. Grille shall be perforated 22 ga. CRS and finished in matte black enamel. Weld studs [8- 32 x ½" (13 mm)] will be provided to mount Atlas/Soundolier 4" loud-speaker Model Baffle dimensions shall be Baffle finish shall be (satin aluminum or satin white) with housing rear on Models X 44, X 46, X 47 and canopy on Models X 45, X 46, X 47, X 48 remaining matte black.
