APPLICATIONS

Utilize Atlas/Soundolier Model G22-8 in T-Grid suspended ceiling systems where the convenience of "lay-in" installation is desired and a non-obtrusive appearance is preferred. Unit accommodates standard 8" (203mm) loudspeakers.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Model G22-8. Square grille replaces a standard 2' (610mm) x 2'(610mm) square ceiling tile in exposed T-Grid systems via simple "lay-in" installation. The unit is supported by the ceiling's grid sys-tem. Assembly includes 22 ga. CRS perforated grille and 18 ga. CRS loudspeaker subplate with four weld studs (eliminating all visible hardware). Grille is finished in textured white. Subplate is finished in textured black.

INSTALLATION INFORMATION FOR 2' x 2- GRID SYSTEMS

Because of its size and design, Model G22-8 can simply be substituted for a standard 2' (610mm) x 2' (610mm) ceiling tile. If specifications designate the use of an enclosure, the appropriate model(see chart below) may be mounted directly to the subplate. The entire assembly (perforated grille, subplate, loudspeaker, and optional enclosure) can be prepared as one unit and then lifted and tilted into position in the ceiling grid.

INSTALLATION INFORMATION FOR 2' x 4- GRID SYSTEMS

If replacement baffle Model G22-8 is to be used in a 2' (610mm) x 4'(1219mm) modular grid system, trim tile to 2' (610mm) square and install adjacent to Model G22-8 using a 2' (610mm) cross T-Bar in between. (T-Bar manufactured by others.)

ARCHITECTS AND ENGINEERS' SPECIFICATIONS

Square baffle shall be Atlas/Soundolier Model G22-8. Its perforated grille shall be constructed of 22 ga. CRS. A subplate made of 18 ga. CRS shall be furnished and fastened to the perforated grille via four weld studs. No mounting hardware shall be visible. The subplate shall mount Atlas/Soundolier 8" loudspeaker Model. If the installation requires an enclosure, Atlas/Soundolier Model shall be used. Grille shall be finished in textured white, subplate in textured black.
