APPLICATIONS

Install ruggedly constructed VP Series baffles in correctional institutions, detention facilities, and public access areas that may be prone to vandalism(schools, community centers, sports/recreation facilities, mass transit terminals). Models mount cone loudspeakers and/or re-entrant horns as noted.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Model VP60-R. Reinforced, protective baffle assembly provides tamperproof recessed installation of a standard 8" cone loudspeaker or an APF Series re-entrant horn. Horn installation requires adapter plate Model FAMT-6. Trim ring is cast from self-aging aluminum alloy with a tensile strength of 44,000P.S.I, and features a ¾" shielding collar to protect the loudspeaker from bashing. The loudspeaker securely mounts to welded studs behind a perforated 22-gauge CRS plate which is then protected by a stainless steel-woven wire-mesh screen positioned 3/8" in front of the plate for direct impact protection. The mesh screen is reinforced by a thick bead of sealant on the inside to protect it against tearing or bending. Rugged unit installs via tamperproof heat-treated alloy screws (special wrench supplied) to specified enclosures. Mounting holes are countersunk for added security. Finish is a satin aluminum with a clear acrylic coating.

Models VP161-R8,VP161-R4. Versatile square baffles offer security for 8"or 4" cone loudspeakers respectively. Grilles are cast from special self-aging aluminum alloy with a tensile strength of 44,000 P.S.I, and reinforced with a perforated 22-gauge CRS stud-mounting loudspeaker plate. Optional adapter plate Model FAMT-6 may be added to Model VP161-R8 to facilitate installation of re-entrant horn Series APF-15. Units install to specified recessed or surface enclosures using specially heat-treated alloy screws which are countersunk for security (special wrench provided). Finish is textured white epoxy.

Model VP161-APF. Unit is designed for recessed installation of APF Series horns. It shares the features of Model VP161-R8 with provisions to mount a horn instead of a cone loudspeaker. This offers the economy and convenience of mounting specified re-entrant horns without an adapter.
