GENERAL INFORMATION

Atlas/Soundolier attenuators are recognized as the industry standard, having led the attenuation market in technological advancements for over 30 years. These high-quality, long-lasting commercial-grade units, which are constructed of premium copper wire have earned the reputation as the finest audio attenuators available.

AT SERIES - General Purpose Auto Transformer. High-quality 10, 35, and 75-watt auto-transformer series provides the advantages of excellent frequency response, low insertion loss and reliable performance for volume-control application in 25 and 70.7-volt systems. Attenuation rate of 3 dB per step is accomplished with a non-shorting rotary switch with ten steps plus positive off position. To prevent switch damage, there is no stop between maximum and off positions. Contacts are silver plated for noise free operation. Selection includes one and two-gang sized models with stainless steel plate, stamped and filled dial scale, and skirted black knob.

E408 SERIES - Precision Auto Transformer. High-quality series is recommended for fine tuning and level control of masking and sound reinforcement systems. Series provide attenuation at a rate of 1.5 dB per step. All other specifications are same as AT Series.

ET-10A - Budget-Priced Auto Transformer. Cost-efficient, 10-watt level control for 70.7 or 25-volt lines offers ten step attenuation with positive off position. Shorting rotary switch incorporates a stop between maximum and off position. Single gang stainless steel plate, silkscreened dial scale, and skirted black knob are included.

LA-1500 - L-Pad Attenuator. Wirewound, L-pad configuration provides superior matching capabilities. Unit will handle 10 watts (3-watts D.C.). Model LA-1500 has 1500-ohm impedance for line circuit application. Pads incorporate minimum and maximum stop. Stainless steel plate, stamped and filled dial scale, and skirted black knob are included.

VC SERIES - Potentiometer Attenuator. Economical series provides audio level control for low-power loudspeaker circuits. Model VC-50 has 50 ohm impedance for application with 4, 8, and 16-ohm voice-coil circuits. Model VC-5K has 5000-ohm impedance for use with constant-voltage loudspeaker circuits. Power rating is 3-watts D.C. Control continuously variable (no stops) to prevent damage. VC Series includes stainless steel plate, stamped and filled dial scale, and skirted black knob.

PA OPTION - Optional Paging Feature. An optional relay is available premounted to all AT Series and Model VC-5K attenuators. When energized, the relay overrides the attenuator to provide maximum level for emergency and paging signals. Unit is an SPDT type and operates on 24 VDC at 10 mA. Assembly includes a protective cover for long lasting trouble-free performance and five, color-coded, stripped and tinned lea(for easy installation. There is no change in performance specifications. RM OPTION - Optional Rack Mount Configuration. Designed for control convenience of rack-mounted equipment in cabinets and consoles, the AT, E408, LA, and VC Series attenuators are available with a polycarbonate dial scale escutcheon in lieu of a mounting plate. Attractive overlay is furnished in matte black with white dial scale and skirted black knob. (To order, suffix attenuator model number with -RM.
