APPLICATIONS

Reproduce emergency warning signals and life safety communications with Atlas/Soundolier's high-efficiency UDT Series Loudspeakers. Four-inch loudspeaker/transformer/baffle assemblies are 8-watt units with an excellent sensitivity rating to effectively inform and protect occupants in high-rise hotels, apartment complexes, schools, public, and retail establishments.

Factory assembled models are UL Listed as loudspeakers for fire protective signaling systems. In addition, the attractively designed baffles provide architects with a selection of four styles to compliment a variety of interior decors. Installation of these pre-assembled units in ceilings and walls is fast and simple using UL Listed enclosures or standard E.O. Boxes. The UDT Series is cost effective and versatile in commercial, industrial and institutional applications.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Atlas/Soundolier's UDT Series UL Listed loudspeaker assemblies are 4" diameter high-performance, fire-protective-signaling devices. The eight-watt loudspeaker delivers 94 dB (1 W, 1 M) to efficiently reproduce emergency communications with minimal input power demand. It is designed to be used with compatible control equipment to provide clear and audible voice and signal communication. Factory assemblies include a phenolic-impregnated cone surrounded by a closed steel basket, factory mounted 70.7 or 25-volt transformer with terminal strip connections, DC blocking capacitor and choice of four baffle styles. To meet code requirements for ceiling and wall installation, units will mount to a variety of Atlas/Soundolier UL Listed and plenumrated enclosures (reference SL3-1424) and standard E.O. Boxes. UDT Series is listed under UL Standard 1480, Speakers for Fire Protective Signaling Systems, provided that recommended enclosures are used for each model.
