STRATEGY SERIES ENCLOSURES

FA97 Series / FA95 Series. Acoustically matched and treated backboxes allow Strategy Series loudspeakers to perform with optimum resonance-free operation. They are also installer-friendly for fast and easy installation into new or existing construction. Standard units include three, easy-to-adjust clamps that rotate and secure with a screwdriver into ceilings up to 1W' thick. They may also be installed by conventional screw mounting if desired. Models are offered in 4", 6", and 8" sizes in volume and economy versions. Volume Model Series FA97 and economy Model Series FA95 are 22-gauge CRS, undercoated and equipped with four threaded loudspeaker inserts and three grille-stud receptacles. Both are finished in black epoxy. FA97 Series is lined with 5/16" thick high-density acoustic batting for superior full-range music performance. Both models are offered with knockouts as standard or without knockouts (NK) to meet application or code requirements.

FA175-6. Square, surface-mount enclosure accommodates Strategy Series six-inch loudspeakers and Model FA170-6 push-on grille. Enclosure is constructed of 20-ga. CRS, undercoated, patch jute lined, and finished in textured white. Dimensions: 10-1/2" W (295mm) x 10-1/2" H (295mm) x 6" D (150mm).

617-6WD. Wooden slope-front wall baffle/enclosure allows for surface mount installation of Strategy Series 6" loudspeakers. Ported enclosure is covered in a textured black vinyl and includes a black fabric grille. Dimensions: 8" W (203mm) x 9" H (229mm) x 6-7/8" top projection (175mm) x 4-1/2" bottom projection (114mm).

STRATEGY SERIES GRILLES

FA51 / FA170 / FA720 / FA730. Choose from round Model Series FA51, FA720, FA730 and unique square Model Series FA170 to provide a clean and hardware-free appearance. All grilles are equipped with three, welded and serrated studs for push-on installation to Strategy Series enclosures or mounting rings. Stud-mount design also provides for easy grille removal during ceiling/wall painting and maintenance. Suffix model with (-4), (-6), or (-8) to match system components. Six-inch square grille Model FA170-6 will also mount conventional surface mount enclosure Model FA175-6.

STRATEGY SERIES MOUNTING ACCESSORIES (OPTIONAL)

FA81-4/FA81-6/FA81-8. Tile bridges are designed to prevent ceiling tile sag by distributing the loudspeaker assembly weight to the ceiling's support members. Model Series FA81 is offered in 4", 6", and 8" sizes and accepts both the FA95 Series and FA97 Series enclosures. It also mounts the FAPR Series plaster/mounting rings. Models are constructed of 24-gauge electro-galvanized steel.

FAPR-4 / FAPR-6 / FAPR-8. Plaster/mounting rings are used to mount Strategy Senes 4", 6", and 8" loudspeakers into ceilings and walls for applications where a backbox cannot be used, or where it is not desired. (NOTE: The mounting configuration of Strategy Series requires that an enclosure or plaster/ mounting ring be used to mount both the loudspeaker and the grille). Units are constructed with the same internal mounting flange as Series FA95 and FA97 enclosures to accommodate ceiling/wall thickness up to 1-1/4". Rings may be used to mount non-transformer equipped loudspeaker models into walls having a min. depth of 3-1/2", and transformer-equipped models into walls with a minimum depth of 5-1/8"(measured from the front of the mounting surface to the rear of the inside mounting area). Series FAPR is constructed of 20-gauge CRS and finished in textured black epoxy. It is equipped with four threaded inserts for loudspeaker installation and three stud receptacles for mounting Strategy Series grilles.

FA-TR4 / FA-TR6 / FA-TR8. Trim ring/rough-in brackets are offered in three sizes to allow for easy installation of enclosures or plaster/mounting rings for Strategy Series 4", 6", 8" loudspeakers in walls or ceilings. Units install prior to drywall installation and serve as a pattern cut-out for the drywall contractor. This time-saving step identifies pre-wire location, expediting installation. Trim ring mounting ears span 25-5/8" W and will accommodate 3/8" to 1-1/4" thick drywall. Mounting holes are provided to match both 16" and 24" stud centers. Finish is black epoxy.

FAMT-6. Mounting ring/adapter for retrofit applications allows a 6" cone or horn loudspeaker to mount an 8" enclosure and/or baffle.
