FREE-STANDING SUBWOOFER

THP-1. Passive l00-watt RMS subwoofer delivers rich bass frequencies through two 8" subwoofer speakers equipped with 1 -1/2" voice coils and 21 oz. magnets. Unit includes a dual set of gold-plated terminals on (he back for easy hook-up to left and right 8-ohm channels or may be strapped for a mono 4-ohm subwoofer channel. Engineered for use with the THP-CXB 100-watt amplifier/active crossover system, as well as other amplifiers or surround sound processors. The high-gloss, piano-like finish contrasts with the soft, cloth grille to achieve a quiet statement of strength and quality. Subwoofer can bepositioned upright amidst other audio equipment or on its side behind furnishings. Specify color by adding appropriate suffix to model number: baby grand ebony black (E.) or winter white (W).

IN-FLOOR / lN-CEILING SUBWOOFER

THP-2. For those who desire totally hidden audio components, the THP-2 (U.S. Patent »5,561,717) is an in-floor or in-ceiling model that provides unlimited installation opportunities. Because of its versatile design, this passive 100-watt RMS subwoofer may be installed out-of-sight above suspended tile ceilings, between standard 16" center floor/ceiling joists, or into walls of sufficient depth--allowing the contractor to decide which installation method would be most appropriate and cost effective for each application. This powerful unit contains two 8" woofers with Vh' voice coils and 21 oz. magnets. The unique design features a vibration-free cabinet which, combined with the unit's unique isolation mounting system, significantly minimizes sound transmission to the building frame and adjoining rooms. Once installed, the subwoofer is visible only by a floor register, air return grille, or a selection of attractive ceiling grilles. (Registers/grilles not included.) Unit is furnished in black to provide obscurity in open ceiling plan applications,but can be field painted to match any installation. For best performance, use the passive THP-2 in combination with the THP-CXB 100-watt amplifier/active crossover system.

IN-WALL SUBWOOFER

THP-3. This passive 50-watt RMS subwoofer is offered for wall and ceiling installation in new or retrofit applications. Flush-mounting unit contains a dual-voice-coil 8" subwoofer with a built-in inverted stabilizer for improved piston action and lower distortion. It can be mounted anywhere and offers the same structural and installation features as Atlas/Soundolier's in-wall loudspeakers. Attractive white finish is ready for use or can be painted/decorated to match any decor. The high-density perforated grille and black subplate help to create a smooth and consistent look. Three-piece construction installs quickly and easily in new and retrofit applications. Separate bezel/grille and subwoofer/subplate combinations allow the actual subwoofer plate to be wired at project end protecting the loudspeaker from possible damage. Grille and bezel frame are finished in white; subplate is black. Engineered for use with the THP-CXB 100-watt amplifier/active crossover system, as well as other amplifiers or surround sound processors. Optional rear enclosure Model TR-BX8 is available to optimize the performance of the THP-3. Backbox provides a consistent operating volume and ensures acoustical isolation by reducing bass frequency "bleed-through" into adjoining rooms.
