The Baut Studios, Inc., established in 1927, originated as a stained glass studio and specialized in "stone groove" installation of windows. Understanding the delicate nature of stained glass a more structural product was invented and patented by Eugene R. Baut . This patented product, "STRUCTURAL STAINED GLASS", utilized aluminum for its matrix thus enhancing its durability. For over 30 years aluminum doors containing Baut door inserts have been used in public buildings.

Realizing there was room for improvement with the commercially available aluminum doors, Baut decided to manufacture their own door systems. Using their own dies, Baut bolts and welds each door leaf and fabricates to any size or shape including gothic, round top and ADA accessible.

After years of installing stained glass and other substrates into commercial aluminum sash, Baut recognized that newer and more innovative use-specific window systems were needed. Baut thus developed their own window systems, incorporating many outstanding features into their sash pro-files. Product offerings vary from single glazed, thermally broken stand-alone ventilators to extremely large monumental triple glazed church windows. Baut manufactures to any size and shape. Because Baut manufactures their own aluminum frames, they can offer a complete package with all structural and decorative aspects handled by in-house artists and engineers. Every project is custom manufactured, unique to the specifications of the client. As a result, Baut Studios has a high nationwide referral of new customers from its many existing satisfied customers.  Innovative product know-how, modem plant facilities, in-house design staff, and computerized drafting, design and manufacturing helps Baut build the most intricate windows with ease.
