  1. Multiply value by (12/d) 1/9 where d=depth of member
  2. Multiply value by (4/L) 1/8 where L=4 ft. for members 4 ft and less. L=member length in ft. for members longer than 4 ft.
  3. Design values are based on 100% duration of load. Increases of stresses are permitted for all values except compression perpendicular to grain.
  4. This value cannot be increased for duration of load.
  5. The design stress are applicable to material used in dry service conditions where the maximum moisture content of the wood will not exceed 12.5 percent.
  6. Bolt and nail values are as provided in 1991 National Design Specification for Douglas Fir-Larch, G=0.50.
