DESCRIPTION / FEATURES

It  is intended that each vertical element will accommodate only one bike. Since the verticals are 18" O.C., bikes will be 18" apart. In use generally for more than a decade, Bike-Stanchions racks have attracted routinely 100% utilization. Compressed versions, on the other hand, attract as little as 60%.

Bike-Stanchions^® racks may be specified with the following extra-cost options:

• New Cast Iron Flange Mounts, 12" dia. x 3" high, instead of our traditional 3" x 3/8" steel flat bar feet for surface installations (see photo below and detail on back cover);
• Lock Retaining Yokes of 1/2" dia. steel round rod welded to each vertical element to confine the U"-shaped lock and prevent-bike from sliding to ground;
• 4' High Adult Model permits taller bikes to be wheeled through an arch for locking to a vertical element;
• Galvanized Steel Sleeves extend 2' below grade and 3" above to accommodate Anchor Security Cap^® and through bolt; permits removal of rack by grounds personnel.

USES

For exterior sites where its striking appearance and its availability in enamelled, galvanized and solid stainless steel finishes is desired.
