"Q" Single Leaf Steel

SPECIFICATIONS: Type Q. Floor access door shall be Type Q, size___ as manufactured by The Bilco Company. Angle frame shall be 1/4" (6.35mm) steel with anchors welded to the exterior. Door leaf shall be 1/4" (6.35mm) steel diamond pattern plate to withstand a live load of 150 lb/ft² (732 kg/M²) with a maximum allowable deflection of 1/150th of the span. Cast steel cam-action hinges shall be bolted to the underside and shall pivot on torsion bars for smooth, easy and controlled door operation throughout the entire arc of opening and closing. Operation shall not be affected by temperature. Door shall open to 90 degrees and lock automatically in that position. A vinyl grip handle shall be provided to release the cover for closing. A Type 316 stainless steel snap lock and removable turn handle shall be provided. Hardware shall be zinc plated and chromate sealed. Factory finish shall be prime coat of red oxide paint. Installation shall be in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. Manufacturer shall guarantee against defects in material or workmanship for a period of five years.

Single and Double Leaf Aluminum Pan-Type Door

1" (25.4mm) deep pan for terrazzo, ceramic tile, brick pavers and many other flooring materials.

SPECIFICATIONS - Type TER, Type TRD. Floor access door shall be Type___ as manufactured by The Bilco Company with 1" (25.4mm) fillable pan to receive (specify fill material and weight). Frame shall be 1/4" (6.35mm) extruded aluminum with built in neoprene cushion and continuous anchor flange. Door(s) shall be 1/4" (6.35mm) aluminum plate reinforced with aluminum stiffeners as required. Door(s) shall be equipped with heavy continuous stainless steel hinges and shall have compression spring operators for easy operation. Door(s) shall open to ninety degrees and lock automatically in that position. A vinyl grip handle shall be provided to release the cover for closing. Door(s) shall be built to withstand a live load of 150 lb/ft² (732 kg/M²), and equipped with a snap lock and removable handle. Aluminum shall be mill finish, with bituminous coating applied to the exterior of the frame by manufacturer. Hardware shall be zinc plated and chromate sealed*. Installation shall be in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. Manufacturer shall guarantee against defects in material or workmanship for a period of five years.

*  For highly corrosive conditions, when so specified, TER and TRD are available with stainless steel hardware throughout.
