| Select Premium Veneers Lacewood
Lacewood has long been considered one of the principle
woods for architectural and design use. It has very pronounced characteristics with a
snakeskin appearance on the surface of the veneer. The "figure" varies from a
soft rift appearance on the outer edges to a large flake appearance in the center of the
flitch. The veneer is usually a light pinkish, tan color with a subtle silky sheen. With
the appropriate finish and proper lighting, it should be the focal point for conference
and private office settings.
Pommele Makore
Pommele Makore is the choice of specifiers who desire the
movement that is characteristic in the recent stage performance of "Lord of the
Dance". This wood veneer often produces a contrasting simple stripe, with varying
degrees of figure, and occasionally with a very pronounced block mottle. The unfinished
wood is light pink to deep red in color, and when it's finished, the ribbon or ripple
effect is analogous to a fast moving river or tributary.
Pommele Sapeli
An accomplished artist would have difficulty repeating the
swirls, mottles and bees-wings that are characteristic of Pommele Sapeli. Multilayered and
tightly configured, imperfect round and oval shapes are tied in random clusters
reminiscent of a low lying mountain range. Varying levels of depth and shade can be
enhanced by choosing complementary finishes. Pommele Sapeli represents the depth and
ambiguity of nature's own artist palette. |
