| Forbo Forbo's Desk Top Material has been specially developed as a surface
finishing material with unique applications for occasional and conference tables. Its
functional writing surface is warm, comfortable to the touch, and long lasting. The
wear-resistant surface has self-healing properties so that minor scratches will disappear
in time. The matte finish with its low light reflection should dramatically reduce eye
fatigue from required concentrated work. Desk Top's long life is due to its composition of
readily renewable natural raw materials.
The Desk Top material has application as an inset for
occasional tables and as a full or partial inset for conference table tops. Individual
design patterns for partial inset applications may be submitted for quotation, or you may
consult Blackpointe for a more collaborative design option. Desk Top's sixteen colorways
provide both complementary or contrasting characteristics to Blackpointe's ten standard
finishes.
Forbo was selected as a 1997 AWFS (Association of
Woodworking and Furniture Suppliers) Sequoia Award winner for its innovative and practical
product and process.
Metals Collection
At Blackpointe, our goal is to take advantage of materials
that are current. Metal surfaces have become the new "neutral", frequently being
teamed with other natural materials such as wood and marble. The polished feel of metal is
like a balancing too and looks great with the look and texture of wood. When teamed
with wood as a surface material for occasional and conference tables, these metal surfaces
take on a warmth that's appealing and a look that is more transitional that contemporary.
The metal surfaces are sealed with a protective coating
that ensures a permanent, matte sheen. Even with the scratches resistant protective
coating, however, minor scratch may occur and are usually considered characteristic of
metal surface on occasional and conference tables.
Blackpointe's metal collection includes stainless steel and
bronze muntz in satin, lightly abraded, and moderately abraded surface finishes, and
galvanized steel with a spangle pattern surface finish.
Frosted and Etched Glass
Frosted and etched glass is an important medium for the
designer or architect who wants to define the style and ambience of a project with
more creative solutions. Etched glass is the optimum fusion of art, technology and
craftsmanship, allowing the specifier to personalize the office environment for the end
user. The Blackpointe Collection of frosted and etched glass tops was created as surface
option for cylinder and occasional tables. These seven designs were created specifically
for Blackpointe and range in style from the tightly patterned "Bridgework" to
the random and intricate swirl of "Slate".
If a project calls for a significant artistic or historical
statement reflecting a company's taste or level of caring for its employees, customers or
the community, Blackpointe will gladly meet your needs by giving form to your concept. |
