| Marble and Granite Blackpointe has carefully selected a group of ten domestic and
imported polished marbles and granites as a surface top option for wood cylinder tables.
The marble/granite inset complements a finished solid wood edge band, deftly illustrating
and reaffirming the classic juxtaposition of marble/ granite and wood.
Care and consideration go into the selection of only the
finest marbles and granites for these horizontal surface applications. Certain surface
characteristics such as veins, fissures, and tributaries are natural characteristics and
are a consequence of the many years of pressure and movement in the marble's formation.
These characteristics help define the unique and complex structure of each individual
piece.
Blackpointe's marbles and granites are arranged in three
groups by means of their relative value. The intrinsic quality and merits of each is
exclusive of these groupings.

Environ
In its support of the use of mixed materials, Blackpointe
has sourced materials from both traditional avenues and new venues. Environ's Biocomposite
technology produces an environmentally friendly product that can be integrated as a
surface material for occasional tables. Its use in combination with standard hardwoods
provides a unique and distinctive appearance. Environ is a decorative surface material
that is environmentally supportive through its composition of recycled wood products. The
material has a high degree of strength and durability, and its speckled, multicolored
grain pattern characteristics suggest a natural granite appearance. The material is sealed
and finished and is highly resistant to water, stains, and surface abuse.
The six colorways from the "Granite Series"
(simulated) easily integrate as a surface material inset with Blackpointe's ten standard
finishes. |
