Thin Set Mortars

BONSAL® Thin Set Mortars are portland cement-based products used to install vitreous and non-vitreous tiles, pavers, mosaics, clay tile, marble and cement-bodied tiles.  When mixed with water, they are smooth and easy to spread.  They are used for interior and exterior installations of walls, floors or ceilings.  These mortars are non-toxic, odorless and nonflammable. All installations must conform to ANSI A 108.5 specification and the Tile Council of America handbook.

Premium Wall Thin Set Mortar
Premium Wall Thin Set Mortar is designed with improved mixing, workability, and performance over standard thin sets.  These improvements result in easier applications.  This product should be used for setting clay bodied tile and tile having high water absorption.  Can be used on walls or floors. The addition of a BONSAL® additive will increase bond strength, water resistance, impact resistance, and flexibility.  Meets ANSI A 118.1. Available in 50# bags, White and Grey.

Premium Floor Thin Set Mortar
Premium Floor Thin Set Mortar has superior performance and workability characteristics not found in regular thin set mortars.  It has been designed for setting vitreous tiles with less than 10% water absorption, quarry tiles, and pavers.  The addition of a BONSAL® additive will provide increased bond strength, water resistance, flexibility, and impact resistance.  Meets ANSI A 118.1.    Available in 50# bags, White and Grey.

Floor Thin Set Mortar
Floor Thin Set Mortar is an economical thin set designed for setting tiles with less than 10% water absorption, quarry tiles, and pavers over concrete surfaces.  The addition of a BONSAL® additive will provide increased bond strength, water resistance, impact resistance, and tensile strength.  Meets ANSI A 118.1.   Available in 50# bags, White and Grey.

Unsanded Concentrate Thin Set Mortar
Unsanded Concentrate Thin Set Mortar is designed for installations over freshly installed portland cement brown-coat;  as the bond coat instead of neat portland cement when sprinkled over compacted setting beds; or as a dry set mortar over cured, rigid surfaces when the proper amount and gradation of sand is added on the job site - the sand must be a washed, 16-60 mesh silica sand.  Meets ANSI A 118.1.  Available in 25# bags, White.
