INTRODUCTION
The Auto-Latch is completely factory assembled. The door seals are the RCM-type, with two
sets of beryllium copper contact fingers in a pocket to prevent accidental damage The
contacting surfaces of both the door and the frame are extruded brass sections
specifically designed for the RCM contacting system.
The cam latch hardware is automated with an electric linear actuator which is energized
and de-energized through a controller. Unlatching is accomplished via pneumatic push
buttons, mat, or cypher activation. Latching is automatic via a limit switch.
The emergency release system consists of two handles which release the latch blocks when
pulled, allowing the door to be opened.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. CONDITION OF DOOR - Closed and
latched with power on.
1.1 TO OPEN/CLOSE
1. Depress push button
2. Pull Or Push door handle. depending on which side of door you are standing,
3. Release door. It will swing closed via the pre-adjusted door closer. trip the limit
switch, and automatically latch.
1.2 STOP
1. If for any reason it is necessary to stop
the latching or unlatching cycle. depress the push button "STOP' . then depress
"UNLATCH" to open. This step must be taken before door will automatically latch
again.
1.3 EMERGENCY OPERATION - To be used
only when automatic system is inoperable.

both blocks/handles

MAINTENANCE
General Procedure:
Inspect fingerstock and lubricate every
6,000 cycles or once per month.
Inspect door alignment and adjust hinges if
necessary.
Lubricate latch rod at both guide blocks if
necessary with a medium consistency silicone grease.
A complete Maintenance Manual and Kit will
be provided with the door.

LIMITED WARRANTY
The Braden RCM III-AL Semi-Auto Latch Shielding Door is guaranteed against defective
materials and workmanship and will retain the specified R.F. shielding characteristics for
a period of one year from the date of acceptance test, provided that maintenance is
performed in accordance with Braden door maintenance procedures and instructions.
