BRADEN'S
SHIELDING.
PRECISION
ENGINEERED FOR
THE ULTIMATE IN
MR IMAGE
PERFORMANCE.

bsmed02a.GIF (1351 bytes)agnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) facilities require "shielded" enclosures for two critical purposes:

1. To provide an interference-free environment for the sensitive MRI receiver.

2. And, when necessary, to protect the surrounding environment from high magnetic fields produced by the imager, and/or protect the imager from moving ferromagnetic masses.

Braden Shielding Systems delivers state-of-the art MRI enclosures which are guaranteed to fulfill both of these purposes. Braden's headquarters, located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, combines a 160,000 square foot manufacturing facility with a 22,500 square foot office complex. In addition to having the facilities to handle projects of any size, this central location provides our customers with a full range of shipping options.

Here are just a few of the many key features that contribute to the outstanding performance of our systems:

MAGNETIC/RF INTEGRATED SHIELDS

Braden Shielding Systems is a licensee of United States Patent No. 4,651,099 which
covers the full design spectrum of integrated shielding.

This unique and patented shielding system saves valuable floor space, installation and fabrication time, and above all, money. By incorporating the RF shield into the magnetic shield, the need for a stand alone RF shield is eliminated.

Full magnetic/RF integrated shields can save customers as much as 60% on their total shielding cost as compared to various self-shielding techniques. Ask your magnet vendor to supply a full room shield design and compare the costs of a Braden shield to the cost of self-shielded magnets. Also ask your shielding vendor if they use United States milled and certified SAE 1006 Coarse Grain Steel. Anything but this is
not an option at Braden.

MAGNETIC FIELD CONTAINMENT SHIELDS

The Braden magnetic field containment shield is constructed of Mill certified SAE 1006 Coarse Grain Steel with other SAE grades available upon request.

Each magnetic shield is engineered to the exact physical dimensions requested by the MRI supplier. In addition, Braden's professional engineering staff will design the supporting structure for your shield.

SOLID CORE MODULAR (SCM) RF SHIELDED ENCLOSURES

Braden Shielding Systems' SCM series shield is comprised of two layers of 28 gauge galvanized steel (recognized and accepted by all magnet vendors), laminated to 3/4 inch high density core material.

Unlike some shield vendors who use the minimum shielding available (3 ounce copper), Braden utilizes steel shielding for all magnets because it is recognized by the industry as the highest performing shielding medium available.

The panel edges are joined with zinc plated steel framing members which provide a compressive seal. The all-bolted construction system allows installation to be performed from inside the enclosure.

Enclosures can be designed to be self-supporting or supported by the parent structure.

The SCM Series is comprised of the following components:

Sub Floor: Consisting o a 6 mil vapor barrier followed by an 1/8 inch
