HYDROJET® TOTAL PERFORMANCE SYSTEM |
HIGH EFFICIENCY, HIGH DELIVERABILITY, HIGHLY EFFECTIVE SELF-CLEANING SYSTEM FROM BRADFORD WHITE.

A CLEAN TANK IS JUST THE BEGINNING.
Bradford White's new Hydrojet Total Performance System gives the plumbing trade a strong technological advantage. It applies the laws of
physics and augments the power of flowing water to create a new level of top performance. And, it's standard equipment on all Bradford White
top connect residential water heaters.*
THE HYDRO-DYNAMIC ACHIEVEMENT OF TURBULENT ACTION.
The Hydrojet delivery tube, with a series of concentric "jet ports", creates an incredible amount of turbulent action inside the tank. Water
flowing into the tank encounters a series of up to 30 flow altering "jet ports". Set at precise space intervals, these ports redirect the flow to
create the dynamic mixing action. Unlike a conventional dip tube where water exits with a weak diffusing action, water exiting the hydrojet
system is in complete turbulence. This new design is exceptionally efficient, measured to be three to five times better than an ordinary dip
tube.
THE BONUS IS A SURPRISING INCREASE IN DELIVERABILITY.
Smooth and efficient operation during continual use and in the first hour provide increased volumes of hot water no matter what the capacity of
the tank. For instance, the first hour delivery for our High Recovery, Energy Saver, 40 gallon residential gas water heater was 66.6 gallons. But
now, equipped with the Hydrojet system, that same unit delivers 73.3 gallons - a 10% increase! That translates into more hot water for the
money.
NOT SIMPLY A DEVICE TO BOOST PERFORMANCE, THE HYDROJET SYSTEM LENGTHENS THE OPERATING LIFE OF A
WATER HEATER.
A common cause of premature tank failure and reduced energy efficiency in all water heaters is sediment build-up. The detrimental effects of
this universal problem are interference in heat transfer, lower tank capacity, corrosion, early parts failure and an annoying rumbling noise. The
result of all this is a water heater that must work much harder and consume much more energy.
TAKE SEDIMENT FOR A RIDE.
When the Hydrojet Total Performance System goes to work, sediment has no place to hide. The turbulent action puts dissolved solids such as
lime and other minerals into suspension when water is delivered into the tank. Whenever water is drawn, particles are prevented from settling
to the bottom of the tank or building up on interior surfaces. The Hydrojet system cleans the tank of harmful deposits every time there's a call
for hot water.

ULTRACOIL® HEAT TRANSFER SYSTEM |
NEW TECHNOLOGY ONLY FROM BRADFORD WHITE
Inside the CombiCor Direct-Fired System and the PowerCor Indirect-Fired System is the Ultracoil, a unique heat exchanger
design which maximizes heat transfer efficiency.
The UltraCoil was engineered under strict guidelines for domestic water integrity, heat transfer efficiency and overall optimum performance. The UltraCoil is a true double-wall heat exchanger. It starts with a metallurgically unique inner wall. Bradford White chose this particular material after intensive testing proved it transfers heat very effectively, helps eliminate corrosion and oxidation and is incredibly strong, enabling working pressures up to 150 PSI. The smooth curving configuration of the coil also greatly reduces flow restrictions throughout the heat exchanger and increases the operating efficiency of the unit. The non-metallic outer wall consists of high-density polyethylene. This material provides incredible stress crack resistance and durability during temperature variation inside the tank and acts as a high strength corrosion barrier. The polyethylene outer wall has been tested and approved by the National Sanitation Foundation for use in potable water applications.
Bradford White left nothing to chance. Between the inner and outer wall rests an ingenious early warning device. Two monofilament channels of small diameter run the full length of the UltraCoil. These channels create a leak path through which escaped liquids, either potable water or heating fluid, can travel. This path ends at the heat exchanger fittings mounted on the top of the tank thus acting as a leak detector. |
The specially designed dielectric heat exchanger fittings provide isolation of the metallurgically unique inner wall from the tank. The fittings incorporate a constantly lubricating "O" ring seal to prevent leakage from the storage tank of heat exchanger itself. |
