1" Non-CFC Foam Insulation 

Meets California Energy Commission requirements. For 10 year models, change suffix "6" to "10". All gas water heaters are certified at 300 PSI test pressure and 150 PSI working pressure. All water connections are 3/4" NPT, all gas connections 1/2". All models design certified by A.G.A. Recovery on Energy Saving models based on 80% efficiency and 90°F. rise.
Use for horizontal installations only. 

• Outdoor installation only - all of the combustion and gas connections are outside. No need to be concerned with providing enough combustion air to the gas burner or venting the products of combustion.
• Converts electric water heater(s) to a storage tank - operates in conjunction with a storage tank located inside the house. The unit operates only when the temperature inside the storage tank requires hot water and shuts off when the supply is satisfied.
• Thermal Efficiency - up to 86%.
• Freeze protection - each unit comes complete with a thermostat (freezestat) which senses the temperature in the incoming water line to the unit and operates as a freeze protection device. Anytime the temperature of the incoming water drops below 43°F, the freezestat will activate the pump to circulate water through the unit then back to the storage tank.
• Post purge relay - allows for water circulation for a minimal period after the burner shuts down to reduce stacking in the heat exchanger.
• Intermittent pilot ignition - pilot does not burn while the heater is not in operation.
